YouTuber ‘Trashman’ Arrested for Poison Threat

Police arrested Manhattan resident Anton Dunn, 42, late Thursday after it was alleged he posted three videos on YouTube claiming to have poisoned millions of jars of Gerber baby food.

In the videos, since yanked from YouTube’s site, the man suspected of being Dunn appears in a partial mask. According to the official charges filed before Judge Theodore Katz in U.S. Circuit Court, the FDA’s Detroit office was alerted to the situation by a representative from Gerber Foods. Michael Felezzola, a special agent with the FDA, said a video entitled gerberbabyfoodalert was brought to his attention “on or about” July 20.

Threats Made

In sections of one 10-minute video, the suspect chants, “We’re out to kill you, we’re out to kill your babies.” The man soon after claims that he has disciples working inside Gerber, and they have poisoned millions of jars of food with cyanide and rat poison. The masked man identifies himself only as

“Trashman,” and states that he wants to kill all Latino and black babies born in 2008. The man on the video is apparently black, and states he wants to kill babies to “cut down on the black populations.” One video additionally maintains that babies have already died from tainted baby food.

Minutes after the posting of the videos, Gerber Products began receiving thousands of phone calls from concerned parents. An official statement obtained by that site from David Mortazavi, Gerber’s director of external communications, reads:

“Safety is the top priority at Gerber Products Company and Nestle Nutrition. We have more than 100 years combined history of helping parents raise happy, healthy babies. We boost our consumers to contact us immediately whether they have a question or concern.
