AMD Not So Hot for Dell Anymore?

Dell has stopped selling AMD-based computers from its website but said that the company would still carry AMD processors in their stores and over-the-phone. Whichever way we look at it, that is a big blow for AMD (Dell.com is where the volume is), but let’s face it, Intel’s current architecture is just more efficient.

Interestingly adequate, that wasn’t the case a few years ago, and

it took Dell way too much duration to jump on the AMD wagon – a little too late in our opinion to have any significant impact in the business (and possibly alienating Intel on the way). AMD lost its edge when the Intel Core Duo came out.
